PIKEVILLE, KY – September 30, 2025 — This past weekend, downtown Pikeville came alive with color, music, and compassion as the Pikeville Pride Festival 2025 welcomed thousands of attendees to Main Street and the Appalachian Wireless Arena Plaza.
The annual festival, hosted by Pikeville Pride, featured live entertainment, food trucks, craft vendors, and community organizations that highlighted the region’s strong sense of diversity, resilience, and spirit of inclusion. From families and local businesses to visitors from across Appalachia, the event fostered connection, visibility, and joy for all who attended.
In addition to its cultural significance, the festival also provided an economic boost to Pikeville and the surrounding area, drawing visitors into local restaurants and shops in the heart of downtown.
“Pikeville Pride isn’t just a festival, it’s about showing the world that Eastern Kentucky is a place where everyone belongs,” said MaryAnn Fletcher, President of Pikeville Pride. “The turnout and support from across the region prove that visibility, acceptance, and unity are powerful forces for community growth right here at home.”
The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce commends Pikeville Pride for their dedication and vision in creating an event that uplifts individuals while making a positive economic and cultural impact on the region.
